Paul Ganssle is a Ph.D. in physical chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley. He has a B.S. in Chemistry with minors in Physics and Latin from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His current primary areas of (academic) interest are economics, quantum information, symmetry, rationality, probability, risk analysis, logical discourse, law, emergent phenomena and writing in the third person. This list is by no means exhaustive and is, apparently, subject to sudden and unexpected change, much to his chagrin.

Diversified Interests is a vehicle for Paul to try and process all the information he takes in on a daily basis. The inaugural post gives a brief outline of what he hopes to accomplish. If all goes well, there should be at least one substantive post per day.
